Hello,

We have 1 MacBook Pro on our predominantly Windows network.
All users must change their network passwords once every 3 months.
When initially logging onto the MacBook Pro it has a separate password.

Therefore the user is entering 2 different passwords.

Is there a way for the user to use just one password and when this password is changed by network admin it is reflected in the MacBook.

The OS X is Lion.

Any advice would be welcome ?

Thanks.

Closer than you think.
Your Mac's Specs
Performa 6116 2GBSCSI 8MB OS 7.5.3
You can "Bind" the Mac to the Windows Active Directory, therefore allowing Windows users to log into the Mac like they do inWindows.

Just like the Mac, Windows users have a local account as well, but the are joined to the domain to utilize Active Directory user accounts and security policies such as the password policy you mentioned.

On the Mac, open System Preferences > Users and Groups. Then select Logon Options, then the Edit button. Then select Open Directory Utility. There you will have the option to connect the Mac to an Active Directory.

Be sure that the Mac is getting correct DNS from the domain.
