I have a Mac OS desktop version 10.6.8 and had been using dual monitors at my last place but now since I moved and hooked it back up I can't move over to the other monitor. It still displays the screen saver and bring up options under preferences but I can't get over there. Also, sometimes the mouse does find it's way onto the screen and then I can't get it back over to the main monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I'm understanding/reading things correctly...it sounds like the problem may be how the 2 monitors are arranged in the "Display System Preference".

Go to:

- Apple drop down menu
- System Preferences
- Displays

Here you will see a graphical representation of how the two monitors are arranged. The graphical representation may not truly be correct compared to how the two monitors are actually arranged on your computers desktop.

If this is correct...then you need to rearrange the graphical representation (click & drag with your mouse) of the two monitors found in the Displays System Preference to how they are actually arranged on your desktop.

and/or just try moving your mouse off the screen on all 4 sides until you figure out which side is currently set up for moving from screen to screen
