I'm looking for advice in deploying some brand new Mac books.
The old computers are a mix of iMacs, Mac pros, and Mac books that range in OSX version from 10.5 to 10.7.
The old Macs were bound to a domain that is no longer active due to an office move, they were never unbound from the domain though. The new ones will be bound to a new domain. What would be the best way to transfer peoples files from computer to computer. As I understand it the migration assistant will re-create the old profiles on the new computer but if I bind them to a new domain that would create a new profile.
Am I wrong in this understanding or would the migration assistant be the way to go?
