Rescuing Files from WD External on OS X 10.4.11
Ok,...this is a good one. So I have a bunch of projects that I need on my WD external drive. When I start my computer I can open the drive and see my files,......for about 10 seconds,....and then they all disappear, and it says "number of files 0" at the bottom. So I can't work fast enough to get files off,.....but they're there. Thoughts!!?? Thanks in advance.

If the drive remains mounted (even though the files disappear), use Disk Utility to verify and repair it. Let us know the result.
