MOTU Digital Performer on OS10.8

New to the Mac Forum.

Just bought a new Mac Mini i5 dual processor. I've been using MOTU DP 5 on an imac that just failed. I don't want to upgrade DP to get it tor run on the new Mini but I know DP5 won't run on OS10.8.

Question: Can OS 10.5 run on the new mac mini? The new DP version 8 is $200 that I don't want to spend.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

No. If the Mini came pre-installed with Mountain Lion, you can not run an earlier version of OS X on it.
