I have Mountain Lion on my macbook pro that was installed via an external source and not from apple. I bought an iMac that came with ML pre-installed. If I try and reinstall ML from the recovery partition of my MBP, will it cost me? Apparently if your mac came with ML pre-installed, you can install it on any other mac related to your apple ID.

If not, are you able to download the copy of ML that your mac came with from the mac app store?
