Okay so let me first state that I'm deployed in Afghanistan and I'm a new Mac User. I have a Early 2012 MB Pro 15" that I removed the Superdrive and installed an Intel 520 series 240 GB SSD as the main drive and moved the Original HD to the Superdrive area.

When I right click on my main drive and goto get info I have noticed that my used space is slowly getting bigger by the minute when I looked at it 10 mins ago it was at 67.30 GB now it is at 67.40 GB.

My question is what is doing this? Could it be any sort of Log Files? If so how do I tell if something is slowly getting bigger?

Any help would be amazing. Just keep in mind I will be slow to reply with my time difference and my work out here.

Thanks All!!!

The OSX should have its own hidden partition which is a recovery mode and auto-backup for time machine. It stores all recent activity. Just use your computer as normal and after you reboot it should look normal.

BTW. .10GB is not a lot of data :)

If Time Machine is not hooked up to an external drive it will write to the internal just hook up an external drive.

Check Console. You might have a rogue app that's writing to logs for every little thing.

It will build up until the maint. scripts run and rotate them. Download and try Onyx. A little cleaning wont hurt.
Run the stuff under Automation.
