Do you get an error message?

If the icon is named "BBEAB300", you can enter the following in Terminal (/Applications/Utilities) to get rid of it:
Code:
sudo rm -f ~/Desktop/BBEAB300
Enter your password and voila.

You shouldn't be getting any warnings about loss of data or system files so don't try removing it again until we can figure out what this file/icon is.

Can you take a screenshot of this icon for us and attach it here?

Not getting any warnings now. There is a square solid box at end of password. When enter password nothing show - it looks as if I didn't enter anything. It resets at the line where I would put the sudo rm -f ~/Desktop/BBEAB300command

Nothing is supposed to show up when you enter your password - that's a safety precaution. You also shouldn't see any messages. When a command successfully executes, nothing is returned.

So, is the icon still there? Do you have a screenshot?
