I have Leopard 10.5.8 on my mac mini
and to up-grade to Lion I first have to order a disc, if I'm reading right, to up-grade to Snow Leopard before I can get Lion on line. $60 for the two. I do now work on my mac mini, it is just for mainly the web, all works well for me now for what I do. The only trouble I have had was with Kindle for Mac, the one in the App Store would not work on Leopard but Amazon had one that would tho I really had to look hard for it. So should I up-grade, what are the advantages?

    iMac 27" Mid 2010, 3.2GHz Intel Core i3,12GB 1333 MHz DDR3, ATI Radeon HD5670 512MB, Yose 10.10.5
I don't think you have enough RAM. The minimum spec is 2GB according to the Apple Support site:

OS X Lion - Technical Specifications
    iMac 27-inch Mid 2010 (wow....that old...eeeks!), WD My Book 1TB Firewire,WD My Passport Air 500GB, Magic Mouse,Magic Trackpad,
    iPhone 5C, iPod Nano 4GB 3rd Gen, ATV2.
MOTM October 2012. These days normally happy with an occasional grumble.

Ordered 4GB and Snow Leopard, will give that a shot. May order Lion later. What's better with Lion? Anyone know about the Kindle for Mac, was wondering if I would need to up-grade that too?
