    Kernel Panic Query
    Hi. My Mac Pro has developed a problem....saying the computer needs to restart....when I reboot in safe mode it says it recovered from a serious error...it appears to be a kernel panic.....I've ran Disc Utility, but Repair Disc is greyed out...here is the message have I got - can anyone advise?     Do you have SIMBL installed? You might try uninstalling it to see if the KPs stop.

    iMac i5 2.7GHz, 16GB memory, OS 10.10.5
    To run Repair Disc in Disk Utility you need to be booted from the system install disc. You cannot repair a drive you are booted from. Also do you have Apple Hardware Test? is on disc one of the original discs that came with the machine.
    Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
