Our office runs a windows server "server 2003" and i just upgraded my macbook pro to Lion. While using snow leopard i could connect to the server - when hit command k i would get this a box that says connect to: afp://server2003 enter my password and off i go.....

now that i have upgraded to Lion i get this message:

There was a problem connecting to the server "server2003.
The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the problem.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are the files/folders you are trying to connect to shared by the windows machine? I'm using smb here as in:
smb://servername.domain.local

After entering user name and passwd I can connect no problem. I feel like the whole network system (I'm opening and working on a lot of files over the network) is not as smooth as it used to be with Snow Leopard, but it works fine.

Just upgraded to 10.7.2 - who knows, maybe it's more stable now :)

the files are shared. there are 2 other users who access files on the server. One is a pc and the other is a mac using snow leopard. I upgraded to the latest 10.7.2.
