Gumba: when I view the June 2011 video on Apple's website I can in fact move the scrubber bar to any point in the video and after a second or two it will pick up from that point and play.

On older machines the video may need to fully load before you can do this, and the June 2011 movie is two hours long, so perhaps give it a minute or two before trying to "scrub" and perhaps that will work better.

Aside to cwa: high five, earthman!

Did you try just waiting a minute or two and then moving the bar to the point you want, as I described?

You can't "fast forward" the video (as in "play it at multiples of its original speed") but you can "jump" to a fairly specific point using the mouse.

I think I get it now..I need to click and drag the slider, what I was trying to do was click on the progress bar like you can do on you tube and the slider automatically moves to that spot that you click. I guess you can't do that here...

Ah, yes, different video players handle that differently. Bravo for figuring it out.
