I'm currently running 10.6.4 on my 1.5 year old Macbook Pro. I went to update to 10.6.6 (for the App Store), but I'm having trouble.
The Software Update finds 12 items that needed to be installed, including OS X. If I tell it to go ahead and install those items it prompts me to restart the computer so it can finish, but when I click "Restart" it logs me out and brings me directly to the login screen. If I click "Restart" from there, it restarts but without installing the update. If I log back in, the update is not installed. I've even tried waiting at the login screen for a few minutes, but I'm assuming that's not the issue. I've repeated these steps several times.
Any ideas?
