Hi, this may sound like an odd thing right now, but I have a five year old mac mini, on Mac OS 10.4 with a 1.5 GHz PowerPC G4 Processor and 512 MB DDR SDRAM. Recently a friend of mine gave me a disk with 10.5 OS, and I tried to install it but it keeps having me restart my computer first and leading me just in circles doing that, am I doing something wrong? if some one could help me out I would really appreciate it.

If it's a grey disk it won't work. Those disk are system specific and they only work with the model that they came with.

What sort of disk is this? Is it an original disk or a burned copy?

Burned, sorry, I should have mentioned that

Then it may be a copy of your friends grey disc, which still won't work.

If I could find it in retail stores I wouldn't have to get a burned disk from a friend. **** if I had money I'd just save up and get a new mac. Ninjacy may be bad (I refuse to be associated with pirates) but if its the only way to get something to work than I will do it.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I asked my earlier question.

Original retail copies of 10.5 are available on e-Bay.:)

Not having enough money for computer software is no justification for stealing. The "logic" of that last line blows me away! Applied to other things, well...

Your honour, I only stole the 1957 Ferrari 250 Test Rosa because I couldn't afford one, and besides, Ferrari don't sell them anymore! :D
