I wanted to increase the size of the bootcamp partition which has been working brilliantly. So went to delete it and re-install bigger.
I try to use BC Assist but keep getting "You must update your system software before using this setup assistant." even though I have updated (10.6.4). So I went back to Snow Leopard install disc...disc utility, selected hard drive, selected "bootcamp", selected "-", OK that deleted bootcamp, but partition remained...but it wouldn't let me extend the main partition to include the full disc.
So clicked apply...rebooted, tried to reinstall Bootcamp and got "You must update your system software before using this setup assistant." ...again. Ran software update...no use. HELP anyone...

When you first created the original Boot Camp partition and installed Windows, which version of OS X were you running? And, were you ever able to remove the original BC partition and extend your OS X partition to encompass the entire disk? Your post is not clear on that.
