Greetings,

Today I is my forum day.

I have a MAC Snow Leopard, its joined to the domain (windows). Some files ei. Illustrator files open very slow.

After troubleshooting, I discovered that if another isuer logs in everything opens file.

I come from the Windows World and there it would be simple for re-name the profile so when the user logs in a new profile is created.

In Snow Leopard, how do I rename a profile so when the user logs back in a new one is created?

If all workds well I would then transfer the user's files.

Are there any issues that may come up from doing this?

Thank you

Your Mac's Specs

To create a new user account, go to System Preferences>Accounts. On the bottom left is a + sign. Click that to add a new account and name it whatever you want. You might have to click on the padlock icon there to make changes if it is already locked.

Thank you, however I guess I should a bit more clear.

I know how to create local account.

The Mac is joined to a Windows Domain, therefore the accounts are not local to the machine, however, the profile is saved locally.

If the profile is re-named, when the use logs back in, it would re-create the locally cached profile.

That is what I am trying to accomplish.
