[Solved]SL won't boot past the blue screen with the spinning circle

When it gets to the part with the blue screen, it seems to be stuck in a loop (longest I've waited is 5 minutes) - YouTube - Snow Leopard won't boot

I have tried booting from the install disk and repairing the disk without any success. Any ideas what could be the issue?

Have you tried resetting the PRAM?

Yeah did a PRAM reset already.

What I did to solve it was to reinstall over the existing SL install. Seems to have done the trick. Posting from SL now.
