I made the mistake of allowing my Macbook to proceed with an update of iTunes. I'd recently had to update it anyway because I bought an iPod Touch. Now, however, when I try to access the iTunes store I get a message that I need a newer version of Safari. When I download the latest version (I'm in 10.5.5 and do *not* like updates) of Safari I can't install it because it says I have to update my whole OS, which I do NOT want to do. Therefore, because I've updated iTunes, I can no longer access the iTunes store without installing all kinds of updates that I don't want and have no room for (I have only about 8GB left in terms of hard drive space). This sort of come-down-a-blind-alley-and-then-you-get-mugged is only one of many things I really don't like about Apple, cute little machine though it is.

Any possible solutions to my problem without installing massive updates?

Any help greatly and sincerely appreciated,

Win
