Hi there.

im new to this site and hoping someone out there can help me.

my desk top is a mini mac running OSX 10.4 11 / intel core duo

Problem:

i turned on the machine today and while searching for files i noticed none of the files are showing a preview image and avi files do not have the small preview otion also.

instead - just the squareish box with file name under it.

this is the case in all directories and even on the desktop.
:[

i have checked for software updates etc and within the system preferences etc but cannot get it to go back how it was.

can anyone help?

Sounds like a problem with HD/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Move that file to the Desktop.
Restart. This will make a new plist file.
If all is well, Trash the one you placed on the Desktop.
