Overall system running slow.

I have a 2.33 GHz macbook pro with 2 gigs of ram
currently i have 68 GB available.

Seemingly out of nowhere my whole system began running pretty slow. The worst of which is happening with finder. When switching from applications to documents or any other it shows up as not responding and takes about a minute to switch over. I have checked activity monitor and nothing seems out of the ordinary. I downloaded yasu and ran that. I also used disk utility to verify and repair.

I have a second unused user on my computer and when log in on that one none of the problems are present. Does anyone have any idea what my problem could be?

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
A couple of options.
Run OnyX automation tab, or go the quick fix since you know it is account specific, and create a new admin account.
Once you have tested everything in the new account and you are certain that everything is running smoothly, just scrap the old one.

Read Mac Help on Accounts. You'll find some useful information there about switching to a new account and deleting a current one without losing anything you want to keep. Then if you have questions, post back here again and we'll go from there.
