Trash won't empty

Hi all,

I have owned a mac mini for about two years and am very satisfied with it. Recently, I will have emptied my trash and I hear the crunching sound but everything is still there. I have tried control, option, and command empty with no success. Could anybody give me any suggestions on what to do?

try main menu 1.7.4 (free version)
MainMenu 1.7.4
Click on main menu icon in menu bar, scroll down to finder, and force empty trash.... this may work!
