Last time i could not not force quit the same application, i just pressed the power button and turned it off. But after i did that i could never turn the computer back on again which forced me to completely reinstall the OS again.

Is there any other ways to force quit?

I have tried command, option esc

also...how many times can i reinstall the OS back on my macbook?

Not sure if you tried this but you could try holding command+alt+shift+esc for a few secs.

No limit to the amount of re-installs you can do, but the issue here is odd.
What were you trying to force quit?

The issue is odd, and so is the description of measures taken. If the computer could not be turned back on, how could the OS be reinstalled?
