How can I change the default program associated with file extension?
    Hi,

How can I change the default program associated with file extension?
For example, now when I double-click .java file, xcode will be used to open it.
How can i change that to aquamacs?

    Thank you.

    Specs:
    15" MBP, Core i7/2GHz, 8GB RAM, 480GB Crucial M500 SSD
    Another way:

RCDefaultApp is a Control Panel pane that allows you to make global changes to file types. Very handy - and you can't beat the price.
Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

That solved it for me torchy, many thanks. was about to download rcdefault app and try it with that (i don't like using external programs for simple OS tasks). Great stuff.
