    MacBook backup
Hi, my MacBook wont startup unless I use the Install Disc, so I'll have to get it repaired and I want to backup my whole HD to an External HD in case they have to wipe my current one (what I have read about my problem is that its the HD). What I would like to know is, how can I duplicate my HD so that if it is wiped I can transfer everything back from the external HD.
    Thanks.

Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper should be able to do what you need to do.
