Uploading against Hackers

Hey,my buddies.
I have created an OS X application that let's the user to share any file via my server.
Q1:is it illegal to allow users to share files and apps with each other?
it might sound odd to ask this question but when i said any files i meant that the user could even share cracks and pirated files,but i'm not responsible for what users share,so it illegal or not and will it but me in charge or not?
Q2:I told a friend about my idea but he told me that the user could share viruses and hacking files and steal my Server via uploading his files,so i need a suggestion about that.

Not sure how anyone can steal anything from just uploading files. You'd have to execute things to cause problems.

There have been many sites (servers) that have done and are still doing the same thing. Most of them host illegal activities; piracy, and so forth. I don't know why you're even asking since you know what the result will be.

What do you want us to say? Use common sense; of course viruses and malware can be shared via your server. I would strongly advise you to dump your application and put your programming abilities to use for good. In other words, something that is legal and useful.

And, I'm going to close this thread since it's going no where and we do not discuss illegal activities in our forums.
