Installing XCode 2.4.1 on os 10.5
    Hi all,

first post here. Nice to meet you all.

I'm currently running XCode 3.1.1 on a machine with OS X 10.5.5. In other words, all he latest versions of everything.

I wanted to have a look at the SDK for Adobe Illustrator CS4. Turns out the SDK needs XCode 2.4.1. I downloaded XCode 2.4.1, but I can't seem to install it on my system. When selecting a destination drive during the installation procedure, none of my drives are deemed valid since "A version of OS X 10.4 was not found."

Is there any ways around this problem?

That version is for Panther and Tiger and that is why it will not install. If you really do need this perhaps using an external drive connected by firewire and install OS X.4 on that may solve your problems.

Xcode 2.5 should be compatible, and that is available on both Tiger and Leopard.
