    com.apple.mail.plist .... it's in YourUserAccount>Library>Prefrences ... seek it and destroy it ... then restart.

    Just for future reference, christm.

Does deleting the com.apple.mail.plist get rid of all your email account settings and you have to re-enter all the data? Or is it kept and safe somehow?

    heya macheadcase

the apple guy said i may have to re enter my email details e.g. username, password, server etc but once i have done that my email should be there. This is the case with my .mac account so im not sure about gmail etc..

Ok so it does wipe your info then.

It's because I had told some members to do this to solve some Mail.app quirkyness and warned them they might have to re-enter all the user info but was hoping it would not do this.

    Dang it! It does... :blind:
