So, I have had my ibook for nearly a year now and for some months now, I noticed this file was created on my HD called "MAU 1.1.2 Update Log" and last date modified was back in October 27, 2005.
I tried to throw it in the garbage but it prompted me for my password ... so I decided to find out if this was something crucial that I need to keep or I can just throw it away.

Any input would be greatly aprpeciated.
thanks.

edit: i also just realized that i posted this on the wrong forum. moderator please take this thread to the correct forum. and i will pay more attention next time where i post.

It's the Microsoft AutoUpdate log I believe. If you have Office on your system, that's what it is.

you could, but it's such a small file I would just leave it to be safe. it will just continually be recreated anyway.
