    Version number for Microsoft Excel
    I am newbie to OSX. I was wondering How can I find exact version nummber of Microsoft Excel via command line. Thanks a lot.

    Command line? I don't know.

    But another way is to find the Excel application in your Applications folder, Control-click on it and select Get Info. A box will come up that does tell you the exact version number - or as close as I can tell it's exact. The latest for Mac Office 2004 for Excel is 11.2.5 (060620).
