I'm having problems specifying URLs in emails created in Mail when I want to reference a specific point on a page using an anchor. If I select my link text and use Add Hyperlink in the Edit menu, then type in http://www.website.com/webpage.htm#anchor using option+3 (MacBook Pro keyboard UK spec) to get the # symbol, this translates into http://www.website.com/webpage.htm#anchor, and gives a 404 when clicked on from within Mail.
Anyone know a solution to this?
Edit: have subsequently tried testing this out by sending the emails with ...%23anchor links to the PC. Outlook Express interprets the URLs correctly (ie. as ...#anchor) and the links do what they should. Could this be a problem unique to how Mail handles the # symbol?
