Hey guys. I recently saw Logic 10.2 update on the Mac App Store and clicked to install it. My Internet connection dropped out a couple of time during download. When I went back into the app store to restart the download the "Download" button then had "Open" on it instead. So I clicked it thinking it might have completed downloading but when I check the version, is still read 10.1.1

Now when I relaunch the app store the button there is no update available for Logic at all.

Can anyone help? I have tried logging in & out of the app store but still no luck.

Go to your purchased items and re-download from there. You'll need your Apple ID and password.

Yeah, I can see it's showing an error instead. You can give this a try: Backup your installation of Logic Pro X or use something like CCC to clone your system, then remove Logic Pro X. Go back to your purchases and see if you can download. If it still fails or gives an error, restore Logic Pro X and give Apple support a call. They should be able to sort it out for you. Or if you live near an Apple Store, go on in and let them download it for you.

I just backed up using time machine this morning. Will i be able to restore logic ok from that once I delete it? Or does it have to be CCC?

No, you can use Time Machine, however, I find that when restoring complex programs such as Logic Pro X or MS Office, a clone is better because nothing is overlooked. I've had good results with Time Machine but since I have and use CCC regularily, I use that instead.
