Hi,

I've recently bought a refurbed macbook pro from a friend. all seems to be going well with it however when i try to update itunes and garageband (the updates are situated under the 'software updates' tab in updates on the app store) it simply all goes well then i check back and the update hasnt been installed. I've attached a image to help explain whats happening.

I'm stumped here and have no idea what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Have you tried rebooting the computer…then running the Software Update again?

Did your friend put the operating system etc on the MBP using his Apple ID? Maybe you will have to get an Apple ID if you don't have one and do a clen install.

Hello and welcome to the forum! :) Since you have provided virtually no information about your problem(s), I'm not sure how the issue may relate to the OP's problem. I would suggest that you start a new thread in an appropriate forum and provide the following: 1) Mac computer you own, model/year; 2) OS X installed; 3) Exact nature of your problem(s); and 4) What have you done to try to correct the situation? Also, provide a specific and informative title for your new thread. Dave
