Software to recover formatted partition

Does anybody know a software to recover data in a formatted partition. I recently try with "Stella Phenix, Mac Data Recovery " with no results, but i dont remember a software who really works in my life. Do you?

Tha was a partition made with disk utility, i was preaparing to make a dual boot.
I have 2 hard disks one with two partitions an another with a single partition. I was going to install windows in the single partition disk and i formatted the wrong volume. I formatted the partition of my 2 partotions hard disk where i has la may data... So i lost it all but i was formated with te windwos 7 installation disk, and y do not overwirte anytihng.
can you help me?

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding something. Are you saying that the partition with your data was formatted using the Windows 7 disc? If so, I am pretty sure it overwrote the data when it formatted the partition to NTFS.

If that is what happened a Windows data recovery might be more helpful in data recovery if anything can. I'll have to leave that for others to answer. I certainly would not do anything else to the drive until you get some answers. Anything which writes to that drive will reduce the chance of recovering your data.

I made it with W7 disc, but if it overwrote, it did it very quickly... about 3 seconds, but when i scan it doesnt appear any of my files

Depending upon how much data is there the overwrite may not have taken very long. The process of setting up a partition using the Windows 7 disc overwrites anything that is on the area where the partition is being created.

Since the partition appears in Disk Utility try the following:
1. Launch Disk Utility
2. Select the partition that used to have your data
3. In the bottom left corner of Disk Utility it will show you the disk format. If it says Windows NT file system then the files were overwritten. Mac-based data would not be stored on an NT formatted disk without the addition of a third party utility.

Data Rescue 3 worked well for me. You can search for it. It is extensive, however.

Carbon Copy Cloner
SuperDuper!

All other software is " try and error ".
