    pirated Office for mac
I am thinking of installing Office for mac on two of my machines, and i wanted to know what are the negatives of installing a pirate copy vs the original.

Besides the legal issue, will a pirated copy work normally, and receive updates automatically. I am new to Mac, and I was wondering because updating is important in Windows to get the latest security patches etc, but im not sure if it matters for a Mac.

Can someone please help on this matter. Thanks
