    Did you recently update Snow Leopard with a security update from Apple?

    The reason I'm asking is because that security update disabled Rosetta which is needed in order to run MS Office 2004. Apple posted a fix shortly after which got Rosetta working again. So, if the above refers to you, you'll need to download the fix from Apple. Here is the LINK to the fix.
