With increasing and annoying frequency a window asking for password appears.
It looks like the attached:

Using Lion on iMac.

Assuming you have already selected the option to "remember this password in my keychain", your keychain file may be corrupt.

Open your Keychain Access application from Applications, Utilities, select the Keychain main menu and then select "Keychain First Aid". That will attempt to repair the file.

Let us know if that works.

Both Verification and Repair reported "No problem".

If the keychain is OK, you can try accessing your MSN account from the web and change your password. Then go back to your Mac Mail account and setup the new password again. Also make sure all the parameters for MSN are correct. See if that works.

Thanks for the help. Change of password did not solve the popup request for pwd.

Do I understand correctly that you went to MSN through the web browser and changed your password, then went to your keychain and changed the password to the new one there, and then went into Mail's preferences and changed it there and it is STILL popping up asking for a password? Is that correct?

Yes to all but was not certain of change in Mail Pref. so I confirmed the new password and it may take a day or two to be sure it's clear of popups.

So far, so good. Keeping fingers crossed.
