address book alternatives

I recently made the big leap and am using an iMac, MBA and iphone, as well as Apple's Time Capsule and Mobile Me. Like a lot of people, it seems, I'm not enamored with Address Book and am considering using Thunderbird. My question is: will TB 'sync' as smoothly between devices as my current configuration does?

Are there any better alternatives to AB? It is so un-Apple-like...

I asked same question a couple of months ago. I think the Mac addreess book is particularly pants.
