Mac App Store - SLOW

I have an iMac (Late 2009) running Lion - 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 6 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. the problem is the App Store, It is really slow! It's slow when it launches, and also when I select one of the options of the top tool bar...
