So, i have been tasked with sending the same email out to 100+ people, which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have to put each of their names in the email to them.

Does anyone know of a more efficient way of populating names into each email other than going one-by-one?

What mail program are you using? If you are on Lion and using Mail, you could set up a smart folder in the address book for this particular mailing. Select addresses for this mailing from some unique id in the contact record - something like "mList" in the note field for example. Then once that is set up, just drag the folder into the To: field on the email.

If you have a web server and some programming knowledge you could use that. A csv list of names and using php's mail(...) function for an HTML email in a loop comes to mind when I read your post.

Otherwise, at my company we are using Constant Contact (Email Marketing Solutions from Constant Contact) for marketing purposes. You can upload a list of names, pick from email templates and send them out. I'm sure there is cheaper services out there that do the same.
