Mail only revcieves Apple Hot News

Hey all,

This is a problem that has occurred since 26th February, when my Mail decided to stop working. So I have done nothing to my Gmail account, yet suddenly this happens and i can only read apple hot news? I have since downloaded Thunderbird and all has been fine. But I really don't want to have to use a third party app to check emails when I have an app that already can! Please help me with the problem.

Have you changed any settings recently? Are you using IMAP or POP?

If you're using IMAP, check that the servers are set correctly:
- Incoming: imap.gmail.com
- Outgoing: smtp.gmail.com

Also make sure your username and password are correct. One other thing you may want to check is that the account is enabled: Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > check "Enable this account."

Problem solved! I simply removed my Gmail account from the list then added it again, and it works! Thanks anyway, vansmith!
