Multi-line recipients box in Entourage new message

On my MacBook in Entourage 2008 when composing a new email message, when the new message first opens, I get a LARGE BOX to type recipients into (I can then click the close icon to reduce it to a single line textbox). On my iMac using the same software I just get a "normal" single line "to" textbox.

I have looked everywhere for a setting to control this but cant find it.
