So a while back I had final cut pro installed, and eventually deleted cause I no longer needed it. I used AppCleaner when removing to try and make sure I got it all. Well every time I do a software update it wants to install "Pro Applications Update" and "Prokit Updates" Which are updates for final cut pro and its related apps. Any idea how I can stop it from wanting me to install these updates for something I no longer have? Thanx

I've been looking at it more, and its not trying to get me to download the update, it just wants me to install them because they are already downloaded from when I had theses apps installed, Where are the update files downloaded to so I can just delete them, I think this may fix this issue.

OSX stores a record of all you installs in this directory

hard-disk//Library/Receipts/

delete any receipts for applications you no longer need and updaters will no longer try and install updates for those apps

The files from SU are stored in /Library/Updates (that's the root Library folder, not the one in your home directory).

So I deleted the updates, and checked to make show there wasn't anything in the Receipts folder that had to do with it. Now when I run the software updater, it no longer shows these updates downloaded, but now it wants me to re-download and then install them. Any other ideas?

Select the update and simply push the delete key. If you want to view them later (let's say you decide to reinstall FCP), go to Software Update > Reset Ignored Updates.
