What do you use to remote desktop to another Mac accross the net?

I used to use LogMeIn for my Windows machine but the free trail soon ran out.

My Dad has a Mac and is a 3hr drive away, so when he gets a problem I have to tell him what do do over the phone, which is painful as he is not the most computer litterate of people!

So my question is, are there any free apps or websites that will allow me to remote onto his Mac?

Thanks

TeamViewer has a great remote desktop application as well as a web based interface that is free for non-commercial use. It also works with both macs and pcs

Logmein is free. I have not paid a cent and have a whole bunch of machines I access all the time. You might have tried the paid version - you just need to switch it to the free version. Logmein is still my favorite after trying several things.

iChat?

It's free, built-in and you can even talk to him whilst controlling his Mac. You'll both need to be on Leopard though.

My Dad is on Tiger [He has a PowerMac G4].

mdfuller - When I used to do some consultancy for a client I used to use it to remote to my home machines for total privacy!
