Delete key not emulating right in ssh'd terminal
    Hey,

When I use the terminal to ssh into the Linux machine that has my email, everything emulates as normal except the delete key. I have to resort to CTRL+h to delete anything.

Delete works normally inside my own machine -- it's just when i ssh to somewhere else.

Has anyone else experienced this? What could be going wrong, and how might I fix it?

    Thanks!

Many people have noticed things like this happening. Apple's Terminal kind of wonky. Have you tried iTerm as a Terminal replacement? (http://iterm.sourceforge.net/index.shtml)

Turns out it's just that Apple's Terminal just isn't included in the termcap of the remote systems I'm logging into. Setting TERM=xterm fixes it! Thanks!
