everything unexpectedly shutting down

OK so apple just put a new hard drive in for me cuz my other one died. When I got it home I was missing photo booth, so I just did an erase & install.


now (and it could have been doing this before, i really didn't mess around with it too much before doing the erase & install) my apps just keep unexpectedly shutting down all the time.

so far safari and quicktime has done it. ok so that's not "everything" but i'm sure once i mess around with it, i'll find that more are doing the same thing.


what can i do?!

Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility.

Repair your disk permissions and everything.

Then, do a software update and make sure that everything is up to date. See if that works.

OK so this problem seemed to fix itself. If it comes back I will try repairing my disk permissions.
