Best Free Antivirus/spyware for Mac?

Hey guys, I was just wondering what are the best free antivirus and anti spyware programs to get for macs. I don't have a virus, but I do like to be safe. With my PC I used Symatec(virus) and Adaware(spyware). So if you guys have any opinions that would be greatly appreciated!

Safe from what? There are no viruses or spyware that affect OS X. In fact, there aren't even any anti-spyware applications out there for OS X. There are a couple trojans disguised as Apple apps on piracy sites like Pirate Bay, but you'd have to be pirating software to get them in the first place.
Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).
