Opening word X file on a pc

Hello,

I made a word X file on my mac, and it occupies two papges.
However, when I opened it from a PC, the line spacing became
very large, and the file occupied almost 4 pages.

The font, size are the same, and the "line spacing" in "paragraphs..."
are both "single" as well.

Any idea what could be wrong? How can I correct it?

Save your file as .doc rather than .docx in the preferences of Office 2008.

I only have my old office X (which saved the file as .doc).
Is it possible to do anything with word X?
