    Time machine as backup
I a leaving my macbook in for repair as the casing cracked. I want to backup everything and wipe the computer. If I use time machine will I be able to restore my computer when I get it back to its original state?
What is the best way to wipe my machine and restore it when I get it back?

I had a similar issue when I initially tried to run Bootcamp. I ended up accidentally wiping my OS 10 partition, but when I finally got it loaded again, it gives you the option of restoring from a Time Machine backup. You just pick the last instance Time Machine ran, and you should be all set. Good luck!

    richieg,

If you haven't already acted, you could download the free version of SuperDuper and it will make you a bootable backup.

It's easy, it'd free. It's so good, I'll bet you buy it later.
