Handbrake and MAC Pro 2,6 Ghz slooooow!!!
    Hello all!
I hope any of you can help me. I have bought a new Mac pro with 2 Xeon 2,6Ghz, with 4gb of ram and the ATI X1900. My older Mac was a G4 Macmini 1,4 Ghz and 1Gb of ram.
Using Handbrake with my old macmini taked 3 hours to rip a DVD more or less, and with my new Mac Pro.... the SAME!!!!!!!!!!
What is happening???? I'm not experiencing that BIG suppoused velocity!

What version of Handbrake? Are you running the latest version? My iMac G5 2.1Ghz took around 2 hours and my Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66Ghz takes under 1 hour and usually 50 minutes or so.

Go to and buy their USB hardware device for speeding up H264 encoding - it works!
