    Therefore to clarify:

    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. Your Mac's Specs

If your Mac has an iSight you can record video via iMovie. The short of it is that you'll see a switch near the bottom of the video with icons on either side that are a camera image and scissors. Flip the switch to the camera then click the "Record with iSight" buttom that appears on the video. You'll have to close iChat first if it is open.

Now also start your GB recording. If you're not using the line in, change it to the iSight mic via preferences.

By the way. I had never done this until reading this post.

The answer the Quicktime Pro

Hi there, after much searching about without any luck, as a last resort I tried out Quicktime Pro. I'm using Jamvox as my audio in and guitar processing. It can also play backing tracks. In Quicktime, I simply do File/New Movie recording. It automatically uses my isight and the audio from the Jamvox. It saves so much hassle...I am super pleased!!!! It also saves in H.264 - internet ready.

Good luck!

The simple way...

Use Photobooth! It will pickup the sound setting from System Perferences - in my case I change to Jamvox, then set my backing track playing and switch Photobooth. Use the video mode in PB and away you go!!! Only problem I can see is that Photobook will stop recording if you switch away. Ie I would usually start the camera first then go to Jamvox to start the backing track. That wont work with PB... you need to do the music first... I'll probably stick with QT Pro as my earlier post described but this is the cheapest and easiest way to go as far as I can see.

Have fun!

I do not recommend Photobooth for video. It flips the video into a mirror image.

I use Photobooth with iGlasses in mirror modewhich lets you flip the image.
